Should I eat breakfast or not?

Thousands of people skip breakfast everyday. Is this really healthy?

If you think about how you feel in the morning compared to the afternoon you can appreciate that most people are getting tired by the end of the day.

If you consume high quantities of nutritional fuel in the morning then it keeps you going for longer and because you are filling your body with high nutritional food it means that your body is running at optimum performance. As the day goes on your body starts running low on energy.

Most people think that at this time they have to refuel their body and consume the most to restore what they have used and because they are going to bed they won’t be near a fuel bowser all night so they fill up even more. Depending on what you consume will determine how you finish the day and how you will wake tomorrow. This can also have a rebound affect on what you fuel your body with the next morning.

Breakfast is a very important part of your daily fuel intake. Imagine…every morning…just for a minute…your body is a car. You’re about to take it for a long drive…you polish the outside so it looks great and you fill the tank with the fuel that suits it the most to get optimum performance.

If you neglect to do this it means that your body at some stage during your day will run out of energy which means that you will slow down and because you run out of energy and your day is not finished you will look for something to lift your energy level to get you through.

It will not run on empty for long before you have to fuel up.

This is what is happening when you eat breakfast. You are filling your body with the fuel for optimum performance for the day ahead. How do you want your body to run?

If you consume healthier choices in the morning then your body will go for longer and will function at optimum performance which means even greater energy levels and your body can then release the extra weight you have stored because your body won’t need it anymore.
